SCOPE is a DoxTek's document imaging technology.
It is designed to dramatically increase office productivity by
minimizing the inefficiencies of paper processes. It's affordable,
scalable, and remarkably easy to use.
Data from any document or form is captured using a
document scanner — eliminating the need for tedious manual
data entry. The data is stored in a repository, where it can be
searched, sorted, manipulated, exported, printed or archived
on various media, including CD-ROM.
Over 40 Indiana county offices are using SCOPE technology to
increasing staff productivity and document accessibility. Sold by
Manatron under the name of iDox, SCOPE is used to manage
sales disclosure forms (SDF) and personal property forms — a
key document used to collect property sales data.

The system combines a document
scanner with text-recognition software.
The scanner converts the forms into
digital images while the software reads
the information contained within the
images. Both the images and the data
are sent to an electronic repository and
are searchable by predefined fields
(such as parcel number, name, date
and address) from a desktop computer.
